1         Requirements

An initial application will be given to you and this application has an empty database (WebsiteDB.mdf), the default login and ut functions. You are to design and implement the database and the web pages for the website to support the required functions for the customers. Your also need to develop a simplified login function which verifies only the username, not password.   Students aiming to get bonus marks will need to include role based access control or applyadvanced CSS features to the website andmenu.
External students can work individually. Each external student needs to complete all design work and implement the “Add Robots” function of the website.
For internal students, the overall design of the website is group work. This includes UML, table schemas, navigation and simplified login, CSS, and general feeling of the website.  The design and the implementation of the above specified functions are individual. Each group member must choose a function as their task during the first group meeting.  Groups need to run meetings at least once a week.  In the design stage before Week 10, more meetings may be needed to discuss the issues from the work.
The list of groups and their members is given in the assignment folder. Students are not allowed to swap groups for the reason of working together with their friends. The first group member is the group coordinator for the first group meeting. The tutor will confirm this with the member and a change may be made if necessary. In the first group meeting, your group decides how the group will run the group coordinator role.
You are required to run your first group meeting in early Week8. This meeting needs to decide how the group runs its coordinator role, how the design work will be conducted, and the timeline for the completion, schedule the next meeting to discuss the draft work, and decide who will be the person making the final version for each design document for submission.
All the meetings need to have minutes. The minutes should contain attendance, apologies, tasks allocations and deadlines and student achievements for that week. The importance of the minutes is that when there are dispute about who has done what and on marks, minutes are evidence. If you have a dispute and your group does not have proper meeting minutes, I cannot help you.  The group coordinator is responsible to keep the meeting minutes. After the meeting ends, the minutes need to be emailed to all group members. Group members will keep the minutes as evidence.
